The dosage of lithium chloratum is usually in the potency D6.
Of these, adults and adolescents aged 13 and over should take two tablets three times a day by letting them dissolve under the tongue.
The substances contained should be absorbed particularly well through the oral mucosa.One tablet per day is usually enough for young children under the age of two. Children from two to 13 years of age can be given two to three tablets per day.

Higher potencies like D12 are sometimes also recommended. These potencies are more highly diluted and therefore more effective according to this alternative medicine teaching. In order to obtain a dosage that is tailored to the symptoms and the age of the person concerned, an appropriately trained person should ideally be consulted.
For external use of lithium chloratum, an ointment or a homemade paste from crushed tablets and a little water can be used.
Such an external application can support the medically prescribed drug therapy, for example, in the case of gout or rheumatic attacks.
Since lithium chloratum is used to influence and balance tissue formation, it can also be used externally for thickening or shrinkage of the subcutaneous tissue.
Possible areas of application here are, for example, thinning skin due to prolonged use of cortisone. An appropriate ointment or a paste made from lithium chloratum can also be helpful to prevent the formation of thickened scar tissue.
