Dosage forms of Silicea

A common area of application of Silicea is to restore the elasticity of the skin or to tighten and firm it. External application of Silicea can also be considered for the treatment of corns, inflammation of the skin or the nail bed or poor wound healing.

A common form of administration of this Schüssler salt is therefore direct application to the skin using an ointment, a balm or a gel. A gel usually has a higher water content than an ointment or balm. It can have a cooling and refreshing effect on the skin.
Ointments or balms, on the other hand, are usually mixed with fatty substances, as well as substances that can support the healing of wounds in the skin.

Which dosage form is chosen for the application of this Schüssler salt depends on the skin type as well as on the preferences of the person concerned.

Silicea globules

Another possible, frequently used dosage form for internal use of Silicea are globules. In fact, globules are probably the most common form of administration of homeopathic single remedies.

Although Silicea is one of the functional agents that are normally used in relatively high doses, it is used rather cautiously. This is due to the fact that Silicea has a long-lasting effectiveness. When taking Silicea globules, a lower potency should be selected, for example D6 or D12. If the symptoms are very acute and severe, the D30 potency can also be selected as an exception.
Usually between three and five globules are taken two or three times a day.
However, a dosage tailored to the person concerned and the respective symptoms should be carried out with the advice of a suitably trained specialist.

Schüssler Salt No. 11 is also used for otitis media. You can find out everything about the topic at:

Pentarkan - what is it?

Schüssler salts are often used as combinations. This can be particularly helpful in the case of mixed forms of two or more drug pictures, or if the symptoms are unclear and cannot be assigned to a specific alternative medicine. There are also ready-mixed preparations for frequent combinations.

Silicea Pentarkan is one such combination agent, which is sold by DHU. In this remedy, salt No. 11 is mixed with salt No. 1 (Calcium fluoratum) combined. This common combination is often used to especially strengthen the elasticity and firmness of the skin and connective tissue. In this respect, this agent can definitely be used as a cosmetic aid.
The preparation is therefore often used for wrinkles, where it can then be applied as a cream directly to the affected areas. The combination of No. 11 and No. 1 can also increase the stretchability of the walls of the blood vessels and prevent e.g. age-related calcification work.

Finally, it should be noted that the combination of the two Schüssler salts can of course also be carried out specifically. Buying a finished product is therefore not absolutely necessary.
