Teeth whitening, bleaching
English : whitening
The actual bleaching is done in one session, depending on how many teeth you want to treat. The duration of the actual bleaching process per tooth is about 10-15 minutes depending on the technique. The first results are already visible after the first application. In general, however, the session should be repeated for 1-2 weeks for optimal and long-lasting results.
If the dental examination and the teeth cleaning directly upstream of the bleaching, the treatment time is extended accordingly. In most cases, however, the dental examination and cleaning will be done in a dental session one to two days before.
The duration of how long the result of a bleaching lasts depends on various factors. On the one hand, the selected bleaching method is decisive, then the hygiene status of the teeth. If teeth are cleaned regularly with a toothbrush and toothpaste after bleaching, the result will be longer. Also, the consumption habits determine how long the whiteness of the whitened teeth is preserved. If the patient drinks a lot of coffee and tea, discoloration of the teeth is to be expected sooner than if he limits or completely avoids the consumption of these products. It is also recommended to have the dentist carry out a professional dental cleaning at regular intervals, which does not prolong the durability of the bleaching result considerably. In general, it can be said that on average, after 1-2 years, a new bleaching must come because the results are darkened. A refreshing bleaching is gentler, goes faster and is cheaper than the primary bleaching.
