Atacand® is one of the AT1 receptor antagonists, another group of blood pressure medication, also attack the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system. Compared to the ACE inhibitors, however, they have a different point of attack, namely the angiotensin 2 receptor, via which it achieves its effect.
