C - Destructive stage - Ulcerophlegmonosa appendicitis - The mucous membrane shows ulcers. Beginning of tissue destruction - Appendicitis empyematosa - Pus forms in the appendix - Appendicitis gangrenosa - The appendix slowly dies. Gangrene develops (Tissue destruction)
